Annual plan saved money

I was looking for something to help with weight management and saw Alter. I opted for the annual subscription since it offered a better deal compared to monthly. The initial setup with the metabolic sensor wasn't too bad, and the overall cost seemed reasonable given the tech involved. I checked out some comparisons to other systems like Levels, and Alter's pricing for the annual plan really stood out as a good value. Getting that first month free with a referral link also helped convince me. For the price, I'm getting a lot of data and personalized insights, which feels like a smart investment in my health. No complaints on the value for money.

Good data, sensor tricky

I ordered the Alter metabolic sensor and the annual subscription. The ordering process on their website was straightforward enough, and the new member offer applied automatically which was nice. It took about 5 days for the package to reach me in Denver, which was fine. Setting up the sensor was a bit finicky; the instructions could be clearer on placement, but I got it eventually. The metabolic health app itself is great. I really like the nutrition tracking software and seeing the real-time insights from the continuous glucose monitor. The personalized meal recommendations have been surprisingly helpful. I had a small question about integrating my sleep tracking, and customer support replied within a day with a clear answer. The data accuracy seems good, and I'm finding the wellness dashboard useful for understanding my patterns. Overall, a solid product, just a small learning curve with the sensor itself.

Really helped me out

So I tried Alter after my friend kept talking about it. I got the metabolic assessment and the personalized health plan. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical at first. But seeing my glucose levels change in real-time after eating different things was super eye-opening. The app is pretty user-friendly, not overly complicated, which I appreciate. It just made me more aware of what I was putting into my body, you know? It felt good to actually see how my body reacted, not just guess. Been using it for a couple months and I feel like I've made some good changes without feeling like I'm on a super strict diet.

Hey, thinking about trying Alter. Anyone know if they ever do a 'first month free' deal? Or is it mostly just referral codes floating around?

B Beth Patel 2 months ago
Yeah, I got a free month when I signed up with a referral link from an influencer. So those definitely exist.

They usually have new member offers, sometimes it's like $20-50 off, sometimes a free month. Depends on the season I think. Check for referral links, those are usually the easiest to find.

How does Alter compare to Levels or Nutrisense? I've been looking at all of them and it's hard to tell which one is actually better for someone trying to manage blood sugar stuff.

G Gwen 1 month ago
I used Nutrisense for a bit before Alter. Alter's app felt a bit more intuitive for me, and the coaching was more personalized. Levels is also good but I felt Alter had better overall integration with my other wearables.

Honestly, they're all pretty similar in what they offer, mostly just different interfaces and coaching styles. I picked Alter because a friend recommended it and had good results.
